Chiang Mai

DDK Highly Recommended for Conferences and Meetings

Chiang Mai, located in northern Thailand, is becoming a favourite destination for corporate events and teambuilding.  Known as 'the rose of the north,' what it lacks in beaches, it more than makes up for in experiences.  Culturally rich and retaining much of its character, Chiang Mai provides excellent facilities at an affordable cost.
In the past groups have been attracted by tropical beach resorts, but this trend is changing with a search for something unique and different.  Chiang Mai has invested in creating a world class facilities for corporate groups in a stunning environment that offers a wealth of memorable experiences.

Although there is some great nightlife too, Chiang Mai offers adventure with elephant trekking, river activities, whitewater rafting, stunning caves, jungle zip rides, and high ropes.  There is a night market and plenty of temples (Wats) and fascinating cultural experiences to be had.

The International Airport is close to the city with direct flights from Asian hubs, but limited from other International locations.  Generally groups transit via Bangkok that has around 130 flights a week.  For incentive groups there are also flights from and to Phuket.

There is a good selection of five star Hotel brands like the Four Seasons, Shangri-La and Le Meridien with meeting facilities; please go to our Venue Directory for more details.
With the opening of new Convention and Exhibition Centre, which is said to be the largest in Thailand, and the increase of international standard rooms, Chiang Mai is set to become a key destination for large scale conventions in the future.
