Diverse Islands

Indonesia consists of 17,508 islands, being the world's largest archipelago.  It offers an array of adventure sports, including scuba diving and snorkeling, as well as golf, trekking and numerous tours and activities.  The pristine beaches and cultural heritage offer ample post conference amusement.

Most countries are eligible to apply for a maximum 30 day visa on arrival, given passports are valid for six months or more.  The immigration process, especially at tourist destinations, is generally efficient.

At major tourist destinations private healthcare is good.  We have had a safety alert on Indonesia for the past 10 years, which is why Jakarta is not DDK's top pick at present, however, we now highly recommend Bali.  With the 2013 APEC Summit being held in Bali, this is a key indicator for adjusting our very conservative rating.
